Interior Trades Contractor for the New Fort Bliss Hospital Replacement

Cleveland Construction, Inc. performed as the interior trades contractor under Clark McCarthy Healthcare Partners II on the construction of a new 1,132,000 SF healthcare campus that replaced the existing William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

The new healthcare campus accommodates the increased troop presence and dependent care resulting from the recent Fort Bliss expansion program. The project consisted of constructing a 7-story 632,646 SF hospital building, 2 outpatient clinics, an administrative building, a research facility, a central utility plant, 2 access control points, and surface parking.

Cleveland Construction's scope of work included the installation of cold-formed metal framing, mineral fiber insulation, gypsum drywall, and acoustical ceilings throughout the new hospital.

The new hospital and associated buildings were designed to incorporate numerous sustainability, smart technology, and energy-saving elements with the goal of receiving LEED Silver certification in two areas:  LEED for Healthcare and LEED for New Construction.
