Project Overview

Cleveland Construction, Inc. was contracted as the complete interior and exterior subcontractor on the new multipurpose arena in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

The new 721,762 SF facility is home to the University of Louisville men’s and women’s basketball programs.  Additionally, the arena is designed to host a wide variety of other events, including NCAA championships for wrestling, swimming, volleyball, and other sports; concerts; and boxing, wrestling, circus, and ice shows.

The arena has 7 levels and can accommodate over 22,000 patrons for the various events.  The structure also includes 71 suites, 4 party suites, 62 premium boxes, bars and restaurants on each level, 33,926 SF of meeting rooms, multiple locker rooms, an auxiliary gym, and a 760-car underground parking garage.

Cleveland Construction completed the drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceiling installation on the project in October 2010.
