Cleveland Construction, Inc. completed interior trades work at the new Marriott Marquis Hotel and Conference Center located in Washington, D.C.

The hotel, which opened in May 2014, features 1,175 rooms, a lobby with a 16-story atrium covered in GFRG shapes, and 5 separate retail and restaurant outlets on the ground floor. Additionally, the hotel contains more than 100,000 SF of meeting and assembly space, including a 30,000 SF grand ballroom, two junior ballrooms (10,800 SF each), more than 53,000 SF of meeting rooms, an 18,800 SF indoor event terrace, and a 5,200 SF rooftop terrace.

Cleveland Construction’s scope of work included the installation of metal stud framing, building insulation, drywall, Venetian plaster, metal panel ceilings, “3D” copper ceilings, acoustical ceilings, specialty linear wood ceilings, and miscellaneous specialty finishes. Cleveland Construction performed this scope of work exclusively within the hotel lobby, 16-story atrium, ballrooms, meeting rooms, restaurants, kitchens, and pre-function and back of house areas.
