Interior Trades Contractor Profile

Cleveland Construction, Inc. was subcontracted to provide the interior trades package for a new USSTRATCOM Replacement Facility at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska.

The state-of-the-art 915,794 square-foot multi-story facility supports a workforce of 3,754 personnel, including those staffing the Command and Control (C2) facility, data centers, and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) spaces. The building is a critical component of U.S. Strategic Command's (USSTRATCOM) operations involving global intelligence, satellite communications, missile defense, and nuclear command.

Interior Trades Scope of Work:

Our scope included framing, drywall installation, insulation, ceiling systems, and interior finishes across over 800,000 square feet of raised access floors. The work was executed with a focus on stringent security requirements, including TEMPEST and HEMP (High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse) protection, ensuring the integrity of the facility's mission-critical operations.

Challenges & Solutions:
Due to the facility's highly secure and sensitive nature, Cleveland Construction's work was carried out in compliance with the strict standards and protocols established for SCIF spaces and military-grade operations. Close coordination with the design-builder, Kiewit/Phelps JV, ensured that all work met the exacting requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers while maintaining flexibility to accommodate future mission expansion.

Cleveland Construction’s ability to deliver precise, high-quality interior trades work on this project demonstrates our capability to operate in secure, mission-critical environments, ensuring the success of national defense operations.
