ALDI Grocery Build-Out in Avon Park
As part of Aldi’s acquisition of former Winn-Dixie locations and its strategic campaign to convert these stores to Aldi branding and specifications, Cleveland Construction, Inc. has been contracted to build out a new 22,000-square-foot grocery store within an existing 52,000-square-foot former Winn-Dixie retail building. The remaining 30,000 square feet will be available for lease to a future tenant.
Aldi Build-Out Construction:
- Selective demolition of existing walls, flooring, ceilings, structural walls, concrete slabs, and sections of the roof, as well as modifications to the front façade.
- Steel framing and decking to match the existing building, along with framing and drywall partitions, batt insulation, and acoustical ceilings for the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
- Rough and finish carpentry for custom shelving and grocery display components.
- Installation of new RTUs, new ductwork for restrooms and office spaces, and new restrooms and breakroom areas.
- Exterior upgrades with metal soffits, composite wall panels, fiber cement panels, and new storefront installations.
- Interior painting, plumbing updates, and new TPO roofing.
Site-Specific Public Safety Management:
Work will take place within an active shopping center with other occupied tenant spaces, requiring coordination to minimize disruption to neighboring businesses. Cleveland Construction will implement strategic scheduling and public safety measures to ensure minimal impact on surrounding tenants and the general public.
