Riverside High School CTE Classroom Addition Completed Ahead of Schedule
Cleveland Construction, Inc. announces the successful completion of the 4,500 square foot Career Technical Education (CTE) classroom addition at Riverside High School.
The project, which officially broke ground immediately after the end of the school year in May 2025, has been delivered ahead of schedule and turned over to Riverside Local Schools as of December 31, 2025.
The new one-story addition provides expanded capacity for the district’s hands-on instruction in skilled trades and technical careers. It features dedicated classrooms for Construction Trades and Advanced Manufacturing, as well as shared instructional spaces and restrooms. The facility is designed to support the district’s commitment to future-ready education and aligns with the growing demand for career-focused learning opportunities.
Funded in part by a $2.5 million Career Technical Education grant from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Cleveland Construction served as the Construction Manager at-Risk, ensuring the project met the district’s goals for quality, functionality, and timely delivery.
Construction started immediately following the 2024–2025 academic year, with the building reaching weather-tight status by the start of the 2025–2026 school year. Despite the tight timeline, the project team was able to accellerate the construction schedule to beat the original Spring 2026 target, allowing the district to begin utilizing the space sooner than anticipated.
The completion of the CTE classroom addition marks a significant milestone for Riverside Local Schools and the community, reinforcing the district’s commitment to providing students with cutting-edge facilities and career-focused educational opportunities.
