Burlington Coat Factory

Hollywood, Florida

Project Overview

Cleveland Construction, Inc. performed as the general contractor for the tenant build-out of an existing K-Mart into a Burlington Coat Factory.

The project began with selective interior and exterior demolition, along with the removal of masonry and installation of two new loading docks featuring a lift pit with scissor lifts.  Cleveland Construction also installed a demising wall in the middle section of the 60,000 SF building to allow for separation.  In addition, new HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, plumbing, and security systems were installed.

Exterior work completed on the project included new asphalt, sealcoating the parking lot, painting, landscaping, planting, and irrigation.

This 60,000 SF retail facility now features luxury finishes such as porcelain tile and architectural woodwork, as well as new offices, restrooms, fitting rooms, checkouts, vestibule, and sales floor.

The project was completed on a 5-month construction schedule.
