Weis Markets Distribution Center Addition

Project Overview
Cleveland Construction, Inc. was the general contractor for a refrigerator addition to an existing Weis Markets distribution facility in Milton, Pennsylvania.
The 110,000 SF refrigerator addition included insulated wall panels and slabs, as well as storage for dairy, deli, and boxed meats. The project was located on 119 acres of land, 36 of which were disturbed for site construction improvements that included a new stormwater management basin, wetland mitigation, parking lot expansion, a new entrance road, and construction of 3 additional pads for future planned building expansions. Work was coordinated and phased to reduce interruption to the active distribution center.
Additional scope of work for this project included selective structure demolition, concrete foundations, shrinkage-resistant concrete floor slabs, structural steel erection and fabrication, insulated metal wall panels, membrane roofing, and industrial refrigeration.
Construction began in April 2015 and was substantially completed in April 2016.
