Recruitment Fraud Alert

Fraudulent Employment Opportunity Disclaimer

Fraudulent job recruitment scams are a growing problem and target many businesses across all industries.  These scams often consist of fraudulent job descriptions and emails offering false jobs, pretending to recruit on behalf of companies.  They may include company logos in emails and may even identify actual company managers or staff with phone numbers and spoofed email addresses.  These fraudulent “recruiters” pretend to solicit applications on behalf of the company.  They then typically request sensitive personal and financial information, or even demand money transfers or payments from applications.

All legitimate correspondence from Cleveland Construction employees will come only from email addresses that end in “@clevelandconstruction.com”.  There are no variations of these email addresses.  If you receive an email from a free web-based email account (such as “@yahoo.com” or “@gmail.com”) or from slightly altered variation such as “@clevelandconstructioncareers.com”, you should assume that the email is a scam.  If you have any doubt as to whether you have received a legitimate communication from Cleveland Construction, you should call our corporate headquarters as (440) 255-8000 and ask to speak to our Human Resources Department.

Any individuals making fraudulent offers of employment are not affiliated with Cleveland Construction, Inc.  Such fraudulent offers are made without the knowledge or approval of Cleveland Construction.  We consider the unauthorized use of our company name or the names of Cleveland Construction employees to be a crime.

If you receive such a message, you are advised to contact the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (iC3) and provide any details you may have.
