Buc-ee's Travel Center #78

Cleveland Construction is managing the construction of Buc-ee's Travel Center #78 at the northeast corner of Louisiana Avenue and Interstate 10 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Construction mobilization began in September 2026 with the official Groundbreaking on November 9th, 2026

The 74,707 square-foot travel center sits on an 18.88-acre tract with 680 parking spaces for cars, RVs and buses.

The site is built for traffic volume. 3 canopies cover 120 fueling positions, fed by underground tanks holding 240,000 gallons. The restrooms carry 56 water closets and 19 urinals. Inside the building, a 7,391 square-foot kitchen and 17,902 square feet of storage support a retail sales floor of nearly 38,000 square-feet.

The work extends well past the property line. Cleveland Construction is building Buc-ee's Boulevard, a new concrete public roadway with storm drainage, water main and street lighting built to City of Lafayette standards.

A separate LADOTD package covers widening on Louisiana Avenue and reconstruction of one eastbound and two westbound I-10 ramps. Getting a travel center of this size open means rebuilding how traffic reaches it.
