Buc-ee's Travel Center #85

Oak Creek, Wisconsin

Cleveland Construction is managing the construction of Buc-ee's Travel Center #85 at 10820 South 27th Street in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, where Interstate 94 meets West Elm Road. Construction began in August 2026 on a 500-day schedule, with substantial completion set for December 2027.

The 74,707 square-foot travel center sits on a 30-acre site. Oak Creek requires 410 parking spaces for a building this size. The site provides 655, including 10 bus and RV stalls.

Fuel drives the scale of the site. Two canopies cover 116 fueling positions served by 58 dispensers, with four more dispensers dedicated to diesel exhaust fluid. Six underground fiberglass tanks hold 240,000 gallons, split into compartments for regular unleaded, premium, diesel, high-grade and low-grade non-ethanol, and DEF.

The building is a single story of tilt-up concrete with steel joists and metal deck carrying the roof. Inside, a 7,391 square-foot kitchen and 17,902 square feet of storage support a sales floor of nearly 38,000 square feet. The restrooms carry 56 water closets and 19 urinals.

Crews are running mass excavation and underground utilities now, with the tank field and building foundations to follow.

Cleveland Construction is applying its T.R.A.C. principles (Thoroughness, Respect, Accountability, and Communication) to manage the project and deliver consistent results.
