Riverview Elementary Classroom Addition Completed On Time with $500k in Savings
Cleveland Construction, Inc. announces the successful completion of the 11,000 square-foot, two-story classroom addition at Riverview Elementary School in Painesville, Ohio. The project, which broke ground in June 2025, was officially turned over to Riverside Local Schools on January 5, 2026.
The new addition expands the school’s instructional capacity with eight modern classrooms, two small-group gathering spaces, and a dedicated mechanical closet. The facility features load-bearing masonry walls, hollow-core precast planks for the second floor, and a steel joist and metal deck roof system.
Exterior finishes, including brick and metal panels, blend seamlessly with the existing school, while a TPO roof membrane ensures long-term durability.
Cleveland Construction served as the Construction Manager at-Risk, collaborating closely with Riverside Local Schools to deliver a high-quality project on time and under budget.
Through strategic planning and efficient execution, the team achieved over $500,000 in cost savings, which were returned to the school district to support additional educational initiatives.
Construction began immediately after the 2024–2025 school year, with the building reaching weather-tight status by late fall 2025. The completed classroom addition was turned over to Riverside at the beginning of 2026.
This expansion represents a significant achievement for Riverview Elementary and the community, reinforcing the district’s commitment to providing students with state-of-the-art learning environments.
