Adaptive Reuse Construction
Carding House Hotel: Boutique Hotel Adaptive Reuse Project
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is managing the historic adaptive reuse construction of the Carding House building, an office-to-hotel conversion located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.
Following the successful completion of the Union Central building adaptive reuse, Blue Suede Hospitality Group recognized Cleveland Construction’s adaptive reuse expertise in managing historic projects and selected us to lead the Carding House conversion.
The 51,649 square-foot, three-story building with basement is being transformed from office space into a 44-key luxury boutique hotel with high-end finishes.
The 12-month construction project includes complete interior demolition, framing, and finishing to create the new hotel layout while preserving the building’s historic character.
The hotel will feature 44 thoughtfully designed guest rooms, a lobby with a café and seating, a fitness center, laundry facilities, and a ground-floor retail space.
Cleveland Construction also oversees the installation of updated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to meet modern standards while preserving the building’s historic features.
