Retail Redevelopment General Contractor

Redevelopment of Eastgate Station Shopping Center

Cleveland Construction, Inc. was the general contractor for the retail redevelopment and rehabilitation of the Eastgate Station Shopping Center located Cincinnati, Ohio. Cleveland Construciton began providing preconstruction services for the Eastgate Station Shopping Center in August 2014, and the retail strip center redevelopment and rehabilitation project was phased over 2 years.

Our construction team managed the entire redevelopment, which consisted of multiple tenant build-outs for Michaels, Gordmans, Stein Mart, HomeGoods, Kirklands, Ulta, Dress Barn, and Five Below, as well as a future shoe tenant. These tenant build-outs included slab-on-grade concrete, new RTU units, new MEPs, and interior finishes.  Exterior improvements included new masonry and metal framing vestibules and storefronts.

The project also included the construction of two new retail outparcels (4,800 SF and 7,000 SF, respectively). Site work for the project included asphalt parking lots, site lighting, signage, utility installation, and retaining walls.

Cleveland Construction successfully solved several challenges during the project, including coordinating with the Department of Transportation to reconfigure the retail center's new entrance, coordinating work around existing tenants that remained open during all phases of the retail center's redevelopment, and the demolition and new construction of shell spaces for the junior anchor stores.
