Cleveland Construction Awarded Design-Build Contract for Project Scarlet, Begins Demolition

Cleveland Construction is proud to announce its selection as the Design-Build contractor for Project Scarlet, the highly anticipated adaptive reuse of the historic Rose Building in Downtown Cleveland. In partnership with Spark GHC, we are transforming this iconic landmark into a premier destination featuring Marriott-branded premium apartments and a Tribute by Marriott hotel, blending modern luxury with timeless hospitality.

The project’s scope includes the careful demolition of the existing structure, followed by the creation of upscale residential units, a full-service hotel, signature dining, and world-class amenities. Our team is committed to preserving the building’s historic character while introducing innovative design and functionality to Cleveland’s urban core.

Phase one demolition is now underway at the corner of E. 9th St. and Prospect Ave., marking the official start of this visionary redevelopment. Construction is set to continue through 2026, with completion expected in 2027.
