Construction Manager for the Revitalization of the Historic Carolina Theatre
The Carolina Theatre opened in 1927 and was once Charlotte's grand theater. Cleveland Construction, Inc. is currently providing construction management services to bring this beloved theatre back to life after closing in 1978.
Cleveland Construction, Inc. is managing the historic rehabilitation of the existing 5-story historic theater along with a new 5-story addition to the theater that incorporates a new main lobby with concessions, a lounge, and office and event space.
The new addition is constructed of steel framing and concrete floor slabs with a beautiful Novum point-supported glass facade. The structural glass and steel façade measures 5,900 square feet in surface area, the structural glass facade is 90’-7” wide and 48’-5” tall, providing an elegantly transparent look for both the interior and exterior of the theatre lobby.
