Cleveland Construction, Inc. provided general contracting services to Benderson Development for the construction of a 5-story Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel located on Technological Avenue near the University of Central Florida (UCF) campus in Orlando, Florida.
The new 124-room, 76,000 SF, extended-stay hotel features a lobby with breakfast/gathering area, a fitness center, an open-air exterior pool, hotel offices, guest laundry services, and back-of-house areas along with the guestrooms. The lobby level contains 11 of the 124 guestrooms while the remaining guestrooms are split equally on levels 2 through 5.
The block and plank building was constructed on a 4” concrete slab-on-grade foundation with load-bearing masonry walls supporting 8” hollow-core precast concrete planks, as well as metal framing and various other architectural features. Site development included grading, utility services, stormwater and erosion controls, asphalt parking lots with concrete curb and gutters, site lighting, and landscaping.
