Skye Condomiums & Hyatt Place Hotel Uptown Charlotte
Cleveland Construction performed as the Construction Manager at Risk for a new 190,000 SF mixed-use, high-rise development located in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.
The development includes 67 luxury one- and two-bedroom condominiums with 2 penthouse suites. The condominiums, which range in size from 800 SF for one-bedroom units to 3,800 SF for rooftop penthouses, feature such finishes as wide plank floors, designer appliances, gas cooktops, and natural stone countertops.
The building also includes a 172-room Hyatt Place Hotel with a multi-story hotel lobby area located on the 10th floor, an 8,000 SF rooftop restaurant, 2,600 SF of retail space on the ground floor, and 187 parking spaces located on floors 2 through 8.
At the time of completion, the development featured Chartlotte’s first rooftop restaurant - Fahrenheit, valet parking, hotel and condominium resident amenities, fitness area, clubroom, and a rooftop pool.
The Hyatt Place Hotel opened to the public in October 2013 and the SKYE Condominiums’ owners took possession in December 2013. In March 2014, Food Network Star Chef Rocco Whalen opened his sixth restaurant venue (and second Fahrenheit Restaurant overall) on the rooftop of the SKYE Condominiums & Hyatt Place Hotel building.
