Charlotte Douglas International Airport Concourse E Expansion

Project Overview:

Cleveland Construction, Inc.'s regional office in Charlotte served as the general contractor for the City of Charlotte’s Phase 9 Expansion of Concourse E at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Scope of Expansion:

This expansion project added over 34,000 heated square feet of passenger and airline operation space, including 10 new aircraft gate positions. New functional spaces included passenger queuing rooms, circulation areas, new group restrooms, airline and airport support areas, and concessionaire shell space.

New Amenities Added:

The expanded Concourse E added airline passenger amenities including a pet relief area, a Mother’s Room, restrooms equipped with touchless fixtures, a family restroom, seats with integrated power, terrazzo flooring in the center walkway for convenient rolling luggage mobility, LED lighting, and updated wayfinding signage.
