Cleveland Construction Completes Manufacturing Facility Expansion in Painesville, Ohio

Cleveland Construction, Inc. has successfully managed the expansion of Avery Dennison's Building #5 Performance Tapes Coating Line facility in Painesville, Ohio.

The expansion project was completed on December 6, 2022 that included a single-story, 35,000 square foot addition made of structural steel, masonry walls, and insulated metal panels with a maximum wall height of 47 feet. The expansion was designed with the possibility of future additions that included a new electrical service.

The facility provides Avery Dennison Performance Tapes with more space to develop and deliver high-quality pressure-sensitive adhesive solutions for various industries, including automotive, general industrial, packaging, and building and construction.

“Our project team and trade partners did a fantastic job of seamlessly integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with the building envelope and structural systems, overcoming significant supply chain and pandemic-related challenges.” Cleveland Construction’s Vice President of Construction, Elliot Christiansen said. “The result was a project completed ahead of schedule and within the client's budget. We are excited to have established a relationship with Avery Dennison and look forward to building on this partnership and exploring future opportunities with them.”

Cleveland Construction, Inc. served as the general contractor and R.E. Warner and Associates as the architect.
