Project Overview
Cleveland Construction, Inc. performed as the general contractor for the construction of a new CarMax Auto Superstore in Bloomington, Illinois.
The project included managing the construction of a new 8,403 square-foot single-story masonry and structural steel retail building on an approximately 4-acre site. The building included connected sales and service areas with a presentation drive-through, breakroom, customer lounge, kids area, parts room, and restrooms.
Site work included construction of a 152-car sales display asphalt lot, a 76-car staging area with a masonry screened wall, 59-car customer/employee parking lot, and an above ground fuel tank.
Construction began in April 2014 and was substantially completed at the end of December 2015. The dealership’s grand opening was in February 2016.
