Cleveland Construction Completes Second Home2 Suites Hotel in Orlando This Year

Cleveland Construction, Inc. recently reached substantial completion on the construction of a new 5-story Home2 Suites by Hilton hotel on 3414 Technological Way near the University of Central Florida (UCF) campus in Orlando, Florida.

The hotel, which broke ground in January 2018, was developed by Benderson Development and designed by FRCH Nelson (formerly FRCH Design Worldwide). Cleveland Construction provided general contracting services for the project. This hotel is the second Home2Suites completed by Cleveland Construction in the Orlando area this year.

The new 124-room, 76,000 SF, extended-stay hotel features a lobby with a breakfast/gathering area, a fitness center, an open-air exterior pool, hotel offices, guest laundry services, and back-of-house areas along with the guestrooms. The lobby level contains 11 of the 124 guestrooms, while the remaining guestrooms are split equally on levels 2 through 5.

The block and plank building was constructed on a 4” concrete slab-on-grade foundation with load-bearing masonry walls supporting 8” hollow-core precast concrete planks, as well as metal framing and various other architectural features.
