Cleveland Construction, Inc. welcomes 13 interns who joined our Summer Internship Program at our Mentor and Charlotte offices for the next 10 weeks during the Summer of 2024. These interns will be working in various positions, such as Project Management, Field Supervision, Estimating, and Corporate Support.
Each intern will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout their time with us, assisting them with their tasks and explaining higher-level concepts. As part of their experience, interns will prepare final presentations showcasing their learnings, with the top three winners receiving a college scholarship totaling $10,000.
During the 10-Week Summer Internship, interns will gain valuable insights into Cleveland Construction values, construction management processes, quality management, and safety practices. Interns will have the opportunity to work on current projects, both on the jobsite and in the office, acquiring hands-on experience. Weekly training sessions tailored to maximize their understanding of the construction industry will further increase their education as a part of our Make It True® University Training Program.
This first week, the interns visited the City Club Apartments Cleveland as a part of their orientation to get a feel for how Cleveland Construction jobsites are managed. They heard about the process of building the apartment complex and were able to compare the completed levels of the building to the in-progress upper floors based on the insight given. The tour helped better prepare the interns working on jobsites during their time and allowed interns based out of the office to get a look at field operations.
At Cleveland Construction, we create an inclusive and nurturing environment for our interns, helping them grow both professionally and personally. Our mentors are readily available to answer questions, explain construction means and methods, and motivate interns to excel in their roles.
