Childcare/Daycare Tenant Build-Out General Contractor

Cleveland Construction, Inc. was the general contractor for an 8,500 SF tenant build-out of an early childhood education/childcare facility in an existing cold dark shell retail space on the ground floor of the existing Centric apartment building in Cleveland, Ohio.

This 12-week construction project included the build-out of 9 separate and private classrooms for infants, toddlers, and preschool children along a center hallway. Each classroom included a large area for play and learning equipped with a kitchen sink and cabinets, a restroom, and a storage closet. The childcare facility also included the build-out of a large play area with activities for kids of all ages, a reception/entrance area, 3 director offices, an employee breakroom, and a large kitchen for meal preparation.

The construction scope consisted of the installation of a new concrete floor slab, interior framing, acoustical ceilings and lighting, drywall hanging and finishing, painting, and the installation of new flooring, doors, and a new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system. In addition, the existing storefront and brick façade was modified to accommodate a new door for the desired reception area.
